Wolfe, Ricks, Kimble hear pleas in Tangipahoa criminal court

AMITE---District Attorney Scott M. Perrilloux reports that the following individuals appeared in court on August 28, 2019, before Elizabeth Wolfe and pleaded either guilty or no contest or were found guilty of the following crimes and received the following sentences:

Donza Ashton, age 25, of Hammond, LA, pleaded no contest to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was sentenced to five years with the department of corrections. He received credit for time served.

Eric Bagwell, age 43, of Ponchatoula, LA, pleaded no contest to simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling and illegal possession of stolen things over $5,000.00-$25,000.00. He was sentenced to eight years with the department of corrections for each count. Time is to be served concurrently.

Jaquorius Braxton, age 20, of Kentwood, LA, pleaded no contest to illegal possession of stolen things over $500.00 but under $1,500.00. He was sentenced to one year with the department of corrections. The sentence was suspended and he was placed on probation for two years. He is ordered to pay a $100.00 fine along with court costs.

Devin Dwyer, age 25, of Hammond, LA, pleaded no contest to possession of fentanyl or carfentanil, possession of schedule II controlled dangerous substances, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was sentenced to two years with the department of corrections. He received credit for time served.

Anthony Lovato, age 37, of Ponchatoula, LA, pleaded no contest to first degree negligent injuring, following too closely, and careless operation of a motor vehicle. He was sentenced to five years with the department of corrections. The sentence was suspended and he was placed on probation for three years. He is ordered to pay all fines and court costs.

James Wilson, age 57, of Ponchatoula, LA, pleaded no contest to simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, three counts of simple burglary, and illegal possession of stolen things $1,000.00. He was sentenced to five years with the department of corrections. He received credit for time served.

In other news from Amite criminal court, District Attorney Scott M. Perrilloux reports that the following individuals appeared in court on August 27, 2019 before Judge Brenda Ricks and pleaded either guilty or no contest or were found guilty of the following crimes and received the following sentences:

James Babb, age 40, of Greensburg, LA, pleaded no contest to possession of schedule I controlled dangerous substances- heroin. He was sentenced to four years with the department of corrections. He received credit for time served.

Leonard Cheek, age 56, of Ponchatoula, LA, pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was sentenced to five years with the department of corrections. He received credit for time served.

Melissa Cummings, age 50, of Ponchatoula, LA, pleaded no contest to theft and aggravated flight from an officer. She was sentenced to five years with the department of corrections. The sentence was suspended and she was placed on probation for three years. She is ordered to pay a $1,800.00 fine along with court costs.

Brent LeBlanc, age 30, Ponchatoula, LA, pleaded no contest to aggravated flight from an officer, illegal possession of stolen things, and obstruction of justice. He was sentenced to three years with the department of corrections. He received credit for time served.

Wesley Lehmann, age 25, of Hammond, LA, pleaded no contest to illegal possession of stolen things and theft. He was sentenced to two years with the department of corrections. The sentence was deferred and he was placed on probation for two years. He is ordered to pay a $1,200.00 fine along with court costs.

Jerry Martin, age 26, of Independence, LA, pleaded no contest to two counts of possession of schedule II controlled dangerous substances and possession of schedule IV controlled dangerous substances. He was sentenced to two years with the department of corrections. He received credit for time served.

Ricky Morse, 38, of Hammond, LA, pleaded no contest to possession of schedule I controlled dangerous substances-heroin. He was sentenced to three years with the department of corrections. He received credit for time served.

Amanda Reever, age 27, of Ponchatoula, LA, pleaded no contest to possession of schedule III controlled dangerous substances. She was sentenced to two years with the department of corrections. The sentence was deferred and she was placed on probation for two years. She is ordered to pay a $1,200.00 fine along with court costs.

Eric Ridgel, age 31, of Tickfaw, LA, pleaded no contest to fourth offense driving while intoxicated. He was sentenced to 10 years with the department of corrections. The sentence was suspended and he was placed on probation for three years. He is ordered to pay a $5,000.00 fine along with court costs.

Christopher Threeton, age 28, of Covington, LA, pleaded no contest to illegal possession of stolen things. He was sentenced to five years with the department of corrections. He received credit for time served.

Justin Whitaker, age 28, of Ponchatoula, LA, pleaded no contest to theft. He was sentenced to six months in the parish jail. He received credit for time served.

Christopher Whittington, age 47, of Tickfaw, LA, pleaded no contest to violation of protective order, resisting an officer by flight, second degree battery, and possession of schedule II controlled dangerous substances. He was sentenced to five years with the department of corrections. The sentence was suspended and he was placed on probation for two years. He is ordered to pay a $1,200.00 fine along with court costs.

Ehryn Anderson, age 19, of Loranger, LA, pleaded no contest to two counts of simple burglary. She was sentenced to three years with the department of corrections. The sentence was deferred and she was placed on probation for three years. She is ordered to pay all fines and court costs.

Robbert Bakker, age 29, of Ponchatoula, LA, pleaded no contest to resisting an officer, possession of schedule II controlled dangerous substances, and possession of marijuana. He was sentenced to three years with the department of corrections. He received credit for time.

Leroy Johnson, age 68, of Tickfaw, LA, pleaded no contest to possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession with intent to distribute schedule II controlled dangerous substances. Sentencing is scheduled for September 10, 2019.

Broderick Jones, age 42, of Independence, LA, pleaded no contest to possession of schedule I controlled dangerous substances- heroin. He was sentenced to three years with the department of corrections. The sentence was deferred and he was placed on probation for three years. He is ordered to pay a $500.00 fine along with court costs.

Markis Tilloston, age 19, of Gonzales, LA, pleaded no contest to theft $5,000.00-$25,000.00, simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, possession of stolen property, and monetary instrument abuse. He was sentenced to three years with the department of corrections. The sentence was deferred and he was placed on probation for three years. He is ordered to pay all fines and court costs.

Danny Atkins, age 31, of Independence, LA, pleaded no contest to 11 counts of simple burglary and two counts of attempted simple burglary. He was sentenced to eight years with the department of corrections. He received credit for time served.

Carl Booker Jr., age 42, of Hammond, LA, pleaded no contest to third offense driving while intoxicated. He was sentenced to two years with the department of corrections. He received credit for time served.

Jason Bourgeois, age 43, of Hammond, LA, pleaded no contest to possession of schedule II controlled dangerous substances. He was sentenced to two years with the department of corrections. He received credit for time served.

Stephen Foster, age 41, of Ponchatoula, LA, pleaded no contest to possession of schedule IV controlled dangerous substances. He was sentenced to three years with the department of corrections. He received credit for time served.

Joshua Ourso, age 31, of Hammond, LA, pleaded no contest to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of schedule III controlled dangerous substances. He was sentenced to five years with the department of corrections. He received credit for time served.
