Regional DOTD road work list for May 12-18

Livingston:
I-12/LA 3002, Livingston Parish, LANE CLOSURE, S.P.H.012165
LA 3002 (Range Avenue) Northbound Left Inside Lane, from I-12 to LA 3003 (Rushing Road) will have lane closures from Wednesday, May 15, 2019 through Friday, May 17, 2019 from 7:00 am - 4:00 pm, daily (weather permitting). At least one lane will remain open at all times. This lane closure is necessary to allow crews to work on the existing concrete median.

To avoid the construction zone, motorists may use I-12 to LA 1026 North to US 190 West to LA 3002 South as an alternate route.

ST. TAMMANY PARISH - US 190: I-12 JUNCTION TO BOGUE FALAYA RIVER BRIDGE

There will be alternating single lane closures on US 190, between the I-12 Junction and the Bogue Falaya River Bridge (Claiborne Hill), beginning Sunday night, May 12, 2019 through Saturday night, May 25, 2019, between the hours of 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM each night. This is to allow the contractor to demolish and excavate remaining asphalt that needs removal, place new asphalt in the new turn lanes, and construct new concrete curb and gutter.

Two lanes will remain open at all times; however, traffic will be slowed as the work progresses. There will be no vehicle restrictions, and emergency vehicles will have access.

US 190B: Hoover Dr. to US 190 (Slidell)
Beginning Monday, May 13, 2019, through Saturday, May 18, 2019 there will be alternating single lane closures on US 190B at Hoover Drive to US 190 in Slidell. These closures will be from the hours of 8:00 PM – 5:00 AM daily, weather permitting. During these closures, the continuous two-way left turn lane will not be available. Crews will be patching, milling, and asphalt paving.

There will be no vehicle restrictions, and emergency vehicles will have access. Motorists may encounter a slight delay during this time.

I-12: LA 59 TO LA 434/BAYOU LACOMBE
Through Saturday, May 18, 2019, there will be outside lane closures at both Eastbound and Westbound I-12 from LA 59 to LA 434/Bayou Lacombe from 8:00 PM until 6:00 AM nightly. This is for crews to begin milling and paving the outside shoulder and lane for this project.

One lane will remain open at all times, there will be no vehicle restrictions, and emergency vehicles will have access. Motorists may encounter a slight delay during this time.

ST. TAMMANY PARISH – RAMP CLOSURES OF I-12 INTERCHANGES AT LA 434 AND NORTHSHORE BLVD/AIRPORT RD.

On Wednesday, May 15, 2019, through Thursday, May 16, 2019, there will be alternating RAMP CLOSURES both Eastbound and Westbound of I-12 for the LA 434 (Lacombe) Interchange and for the Northshore Blvd/Airport Road Interchange from 8:00 PM until 6:00 AM nightly. Crews will be paving the final lift of asphalt for this project.

These alternating closures include the on and off ramps both Eastbound and Westbound at LA 434, the Eastbound off-ramp at Northshore Blvd/Airport Road, and the Westbound on-ramp at Northshore Blvd/Airport Road.

LA 434 interchange will have alternating ramp closures Wednesday night, May 15, 2019.

Northshore Blvd/Airport Road interchange will have alternating ramp closures on Thursday night, May 16, 2019.

DETOUR SECTION
Motorist traveling EB at LA 434 may take I-12 to Northshore Blvd/Airport Road and transition from the EB off-ramp to the WB on-ramp back to LA 434.

Motorist traveling EB at Northshore Blvd/Airport may take I-12 to US 11 and transition from the EB off-ramp to the WB on-ramp back to Northshore Blvd/Airport.

Motorist traveling WB at LA 434 may take I-12 to LA 1088 and transition from the WB off-ramp to the EB on-ramp back to LA 434.

Motorist traveling WB at Northshore Blvd/Airport may take I-12 to LA 434 and transition from the WB off-ramp to the EB on-ramp back to Northshore Blvd/Airport.

There will be no vehicle restrictions, and emergency vehicles will have access. Motorists may encounter a slight delay during this time.

I-10: MEDIAN PROTECTION-OAK HARBOR LIGHT/RAMP
Beginning Monday, May 6, through Sunday, May 19, 2019, there will be alternating single lane closures in both directions of Oak Harbor Blvd. between the I-10 Eastbound and Westbound on/off ramps. Also, the shoulders on both the on and off Eastbound and Westbound ramps will be closed at the Oak Harbor interchange. These closures will be from the hours of 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM daily, weather permitting. This is for electrical demolition, as well as construction of a new curb/median of Oak Harbor Blvd. Additionally, crews will continue asphalt leveling, weather permitting.

One lane of traffic will remain open at all times.

There will be no vehicle restrictions, and emergency vehicles will have access. Motorists may encounter a slight delay during this time.


Washington Parish:
LA 436 (Monroe Creek Road – N. Jct. LA 21)
There will be alternating closures of the eastbound and westbound lanes on LA 436 between Monroe Creek Road and N. Jct. LA 21, beginning Monday morning, May 6, 2019, at 7:00 AM through Monday morning, May 20, 2019, at 7:00 AM. During these lane closures, crews will start their paving operations, weather permitting.

Oversize loads are allowed up to 10 feet wide. Emergency vehicles will have access.

Motorists traveling east on LA 436 may take LA 436 to LA 62, east on LA 62 to LA 10, east on LA 10 to LA 21, north on LA 21 to LA 436.

Motorists traveling west on LA 436 may take LA 436 to LA 21, south on LA 21 to LA 10, west on LA 10 to LA 62, west on LA 62 to LA 436.

Message boards and construction signs have been placed for this detour.
