Tangi GOP hosts Law Enforcement Appreciation Day
The Tangipahoa Republican Executive Committee is happy to announce that they will be hosting the very first Tangi Law Enforcement Appreciation Day on August 15, 2020.
The committee will be partnering with the Hammond Police Department to host this event at Cate Square Park in downtown Hammond. Hours for this event will be from 9:00am-1:00pm, with music provided. There is no charge to come and the event is open to the public. Free food and water will be provided to any that attend courtesy of the Tangi RPEC.
The committee asks that all who attend do so under any guidance and mandates put forth in regards to the health and safety of our community battling the COVID-19 virus (I.E. wearing of masks and social distancing).
The goal for this event is to bring all surrounding communities and their respective police forces together for an afternoon of demonstrations by the Hammond Police Department. They hope this event will be a meaningful gathering for all citizens to celebrate life and to further strengthen the bonds between the communities and their respective police forces and officers. Please visit the TANGI GOP Facebook page and share our event on social media as well.
