Suspect indicted in Amite double murder
AMITE--District Attorney Scott M. Perrilloux reports that a Tangipahoa Parish Grand Jury returned a True Bill of Indictment for the following individuals on July 20, 2020:
Aridies Cain, age 23, of Amite, LA, was indicted for two counts of First Degree Murder and one count of Attempted First Degree Murder.
According to the indictment, On June 4, 2020, Cain entered a residence on Bourgeois Street in Amite, LA, unprovoked opening fire on three individuals. Due to injuries sustained from the shooting, Alvin Henderson of Amite, LA and Terrace Foster Jr. of Amite, LA died at the scene. The third victim was shot a total of seven times but survived.
Cain ran out of the residence and is located later at a residence on Lilly Pad Pond Road where he was taken into custody by the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office on warrants from another incident.
This case is scheduled for Preliminary Exam on August 18, 2020 at 1:00P.M.
Geral Trainor, age 22, of Amite, LA, was indicted for one count of Second Degree Murder.
According to the indictment, Trainor shot and killed his stepfather, Robin Hughes, during an altercation on May 13, 2020.
