STPSO arrests suspect for residential burglary in Folsom

UPDATE: UPDATE: At approximately 9:30 p.m. Monday night (April 15), the suspect, Dakota Cyprian, 25, of Folsom, was located by STPSO K9 Thor.  He was transported to a local hospital, where he was treated for a dog bite. Upon his release, he was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail on the following charges:

L.R.S. 14:108.2 Resisting a Police Officer with Force or Violence (3 counts)
L.R.S. 14:60 Aggravated Burglary with Battery
L.R.S. 14:27.34.6 Attempt to Disarm a Police

The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges are possible.



From the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office

The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man after responding to a burglary in progress on Darby Drive near Folsom.

Deputies were dispatched Monday afternoon (April 15) to an alarm at a residence on Darby Drive off Rosewood Drive near Folsom. While on scene, deputies located a black male, approximately 5’11 to 6’1 with medium to dark complexion, hiding inside the residence. The individual fought with deputies and escaped. He was last seen running toward the area of Chenel Farms.


STPSO deputies, along with officers from the Folsom Police Department, troopers from State Police and representatives from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection have set up a perimeter in an area where they believe the subject maybe hiding.

If anyone observes a suspicious individual in the area, they are asked to please call 911 immediately. The subject was last seen with no shirt and was wearing crocs and black sweatpants with red shorts poking from beneath.
