Southeastern Baseball, Softball season tickets on sale now
HAMMOND, La. – As a new calendar year approaches, the Southeastern Louisiana Athletics Ticket Office has placed baseball and softball season tickets on sale for the upcoming 2019 season.

General admission and family packs are currently available for new purchases. Fans wishing to purchase new reserved seats may join a waiting list.

Renewals for current season-ticket holders are on their way with a Friday, Jan. 25, 2019, deadline to renew. After that date, all reserved tickets will be available to the public for purchase.

Pricing for baseball season tickets includes $279 for box seats, $128 for reserved seats and $103 for general admission. A family plan that includes two adult and two youth (ages 3-12) general admission tickets is available for $206.

A 27-game home slate at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field includes home series against Southland Conference regular-season champion Sam Houston State and conference tournament champ Northwestern State. Key non-conference home games include matchups against South Alabama, Tulane and UL Lafayette.

The Lion baseball program has averaged 39 wins per season during Matt Riser's five-year tenure as head coach.

That sustained success has allowed Southeastern to establish new season attendance records at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field each of the last four seasons, drawing a Southland Conference-leading average of 1,317 fans per game in 2018.

Softball season tickets include packages for reserved chair backs ($80) or general admission ($60) seats. Off-season renovations have added a turf playing surface and LED stadium lights at North Oak Park.

Rick Fremin's squad led Division I in steals for the second time in three years in 2018, swiping a school-record 184 bases on the way to setting a program standard with 38 victories. The school's all-time leader in stolen bases, Jaquelyn Ramon, along with fellow All-Southland returnee Ali McCoy highlight a group of 14 returning letter winners for the Lady Lions.

A 30-game home softball schedule, which includes a pair of tournaments, begins Feb. 7 with Southeastern hosting San Jose State at North Oak Park. The Lion Classic I begins the next day. High profile opponents making the trek to Hammond include Southern Miss and Southland Tournament champ McNeese.

Southeastern Athletics has instituted a clear bag policy for all ticketed events, effective with the start of the 2018 football season. The policy mirrors safety precautions taken upon entrance to professional and collegiate sporting venues throughout the country.

In addition to Southeastern home football games at Strawberry Stadium, the policy will also be enforced at men's and women's basketball games in the University Center, baseball games at Alumni Field and softball games at North Oak Park. For more information on the clear bag policy, visit
