Robbery, burglary, drug cases, and other court news in Amite

Amite- District Attorney Scott M. Perrilloux reports that the following individuals appeared in court April 2, 2019, before Judge Elizabeth Wolfe and pleaded either guilty or no contest or were found guilty of the following crimes and received the following sentences:

Broderick Cotton, age 54, of Hammond, LA, pleaded no contest to possession of schedule II controlled dangerous substances, possession of marijuana. He was sentenced to one year with the department of corrections. He received credit for time served.  

Christina D’Angelo, age 42, of Ponchatoula, LA, pleaded no contest to distribution or possession with intent to distribute schedule II controlled dangerous substances- or counterfeit and unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling. She was sentenced to one year with the department of corrections. She received credit for time served.

Nicole Dugas, age 35, of Hammond, LA, pleaded no contest to aggravated flight from an officer where human life is endangered, hit and run driving, and simple battery. She was sentenced to one year in the parish jail. She received credit for time served.

Naquille Snowden, age 24, of Hammond, LA, pleaded no contest to possession with intent to distribute a schedule I controlled dangerous substance and illegal use/possession/control of weapons- crime of violence-CDS. He was sentenced to five years with the department of corrections. The sentence was suspended and he was placed on in home incarceration. He is ordered to pay a $5,000.00 fine along with court costs.

 

Amite- District Attorney Scott M. Perrilloux reports that the following individuals appeared in court April 3, 2019, before Judge Brenda Ricks and pleaded either guilty or no contest or were found guilty of the following crimes and received the following sentences:

Antoine Andrew, age 18, of Hammond, LA, pleaded no contest to first degree robbery, simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, and simple battery. He was sentenced to six years with the department of corrections. He received credit for time served.

Harry Banks, age 41, of Ponchatoula, LA, pleaded no contest to indecent behavior with a juvenile. He was sentenced to five years with the department of corrections.

Terrance Badon, age 23, of Hammond, LA, pleaded no contest to possession of more than two and a half pounds of marijuana. He was sentenced to five years with the department of corrections. The sentence was suspended and he was placed on probation for three years. He is ordered to pay a $1,800.00 fine along with court costs.

David Butler, age 40, of Hammond, LA, pleaded no contest to attempted possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was sentenced to five years with the department of corrections. The sentence was suspended and he was placed on probation for two years. He is ordered to pay a $1,000.00 fine along with court costs.

Michael Chambless, age 27, of Hammond, LA, pleaded no contest to simple burglary, access device fraud, possession of drug paraphernalia, bank fraud. He was sentenced to five years with the department of corrections. The sentence was suspended and he was placed on probation for three years. He is ordered to pay a $1,800.00 fine along with court costs.

Lewis Gray, age 23, of Mount Hermon, LA, pleaded no contest to attempted robbery. He was sentenced to 10 years with the department of corrections.

Gerald Harvey, age 36, of Tangipahoa, LA, pleaded no contest to theft. He was sentenced to 45 days in the parish jail. He received credit for time served.

Keenen Lee, age 26, Springfield, LA, pleaded no contest to domestic abuse battery- first offense and aggravated assault. He was sentenced to six months in the parish jail. Time is to run concurrent. He received credit for time served,

William Lucas, age 18, of Hammond, LA, pleaded no contest to first degree robbery. He was sentenced to six years with the department of corrections. He received credit for time served.

Chad Milton, age 40, of Ponchatoula, LA, pleaded no contest to violation of protective order. He was sentenced to six months in the parish jail. He received credit for time served.
Shawn Verret, age 42, of Ponchatoula, LA, pleaded no contest to simple battery. He was sentenced to six months in the parish jail. He received credit for time served,
