Wayne Warren Peplow
Wayne Warren Peplow, age 78, of Holden, Louisiana, passed away on July 8, 2020, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born January 28, 1942, in Jefferson City, Missouri. Wayne proudly served in the United States Navy in the Mediterranean Sea and off the coast of Cuba from 1959 – 1962 when he was honorably discharged from the military. After serving his country, Wayne worked as a police officer for the Rolla City Police Department in Rolla, Missouri. In 1970, Wayne moved his family to Louisiana to begin working in the offshore oil industry until he retired after 32 years. Wayne enjoyed fishing, squirrel and rabbit hunting, all things outdoors, and LSU Football (Geaux Tigers). He was the kindest and best of men.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Betty Sibley McLin Peplow; his son, Richard Wayne Peplow (Kimberly); his daughter, Vicky Peplow Herring (Terry); grandchildren, Amanda Peplow (Dan Simpson), Ethan Peplow (Victoria), Jacob Herring; brother, Roland Peplow (Carolyn); step-daughter, Debra McLin Peplow; step-son, Paul McLin (Donna); step-daughter, Katelynn McLin; and great-granddaughter, Tessa Simpson and many other family and friends.
Wayne is preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Kay Rogers Peplow; his parents, Warren and Frances Peplow; his brothers, Lester Peplow, David Peplow and Michael Peplow.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, 12012 Hwy 190 West, Hammond, on Monday, July 13, 2020 from 9AM until funeral service time at 12PM. Interment will follow in the Oliphant Family Cemetery, Holden, LA. Family and friends are invited back to the Peplow home for refreshments following the interment.
