Vaughn Oliver Seale
Vaughn Oliver Seale was called home for his eternal reward on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at almost 70 years old. Vaughn proudly served his country as an MP in the United States Army stationed in Germany. Vaughn received his Bachelor’s degree from Southeastern Louisiana University. As a life long resident of Hammond, Vaughn owned and managed several business including Oliver Treated Products and LESCO. Earlier in his life he earned the rank of Life Scout, was an active member of the Exchange Club, and also a Member of Sons of American Revolution. Vaughn enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching sports on television and talk radio. But most of all he enjoyed being surrounded by his grandchildren.
Vaughn leaves behind his loving wife of 46 years, Donna Hawthorne Seale; daughters Kelly Seale Carty (Shaun) and Kacey Seale Pierce; sisters Francine Seale Dodson and Hazel Evelyn Seale; and grandchildren, Taylor Rhiannon, Owen Landon, and Brenden Oliver Carty and Ridley Shaw Pierce.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Francis Marion and Hazel Oliver Seale and grandparents Vaughn Golden and Marie Oliver and T.M. and Phonsene Seale.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to bring their stories to a visitation at Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, Hammond, on Sunday, December 8, 2019 from 6:00 pm until 9:00pm. Visitation will resume on Monday December 9, 2019 from 10:00 am with a celebration of life beginning at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made in his memory to Fisher House Foundation, 12300 Twinbrook Pkwy, Suite 410 Rockville, MD 20852.
Final resting place will be a private family celebration at a later date in Biloxi National Cemetery, Biloxi Mississippi.
Many sincere thank yous to all the many nurses, doctors and hospital staff in the ER and ICU departments at North Oaks Hospital in Hammond for so caringly assisting with Vaughn’s transition to eternal rest.
