Fred Lamont Clark

Fred Lamont Clark, age 64, passed away at his home on October 16, 2020. He was a native of Picayune, MS, and a resident of Hammond, LA. Fred is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. He retired from Boilermakers Local #37 after many years of service to the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers. Fred was a man of God and was extremely strong in his faith. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and was a sweet man with clever sayings that would make others laugh. He will be greatly missed.

Fred is survived by his loving wife, Tina Wahl “Dagus” Clark; children, Shane Swanner (wife Caroline), Stephanie Swalwell (husband Scott), Chad Swanner (wife Lara Nicole); precious relative, Melissa Lemoine; grandchildren, Megan Swalwell, Garrett Swalwell, Noah Swanner, Cole Swalwell, Seth Swanner, Jason Swalwell, Chloe Swanner, Chelsea Swanner, Chase Swanner, and MargaretAnn Swanner; and sister, Judy Lynn Rucker (husband Bolling); and nephew, Michael Rucker (wife Joanna). Also survived by two great-grandchildren, numerous cousins and great-nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents, Fred G and Sylvia Clark; brother, Michael Ray Clark; and a niece, Melissa Monaghan.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, 12012 Highway 190 W., Hammond, on Friday, October 23, 2020 from 12PM until 2PM. The funeral service will be held at 2PM and interment to follow at Rose Memorial Park Cemetery.
