Charles "Chuck" E. DeBlieux, III

Charles always introduced himself as Chuck. He began working within the automotive industry in 1985 for Standard Motor Products. Chuck was very charismatic and was able to easily form relationships with his customers and everyone he met. This ability quickly allowed him to become the lead trainer for all new hires within the company.
Chuck’s management team was so impressed with his presence and “people skills” that he became their keynote speaker at the national sales meetings held annually. He continued his dedicated service for 35 years and flourished, recently retiring in May of this year.

According to Chuck his accomplishments would be the following: His 42-year marriage to his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Krispin. The births of his 2 children, Jordan and Scoot. The subsequent births of his 2 grandchildren Kaegan and Jack.

Chuck was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease about 22 years ago. His commitment to inspiring awareness, treatment options, fund raising and support to other patients and their families was amazing. He was instrumental in the formation of 2 local non-profit Parkinson’s groups. One of their greatest accomplishments was the annual Parkinson’s Walk for the Cure, held in New Orleans.

Chuck also started a Parkinson’s support group here in Hammond. Parkinson’s patients and their families attended. He set up speakers each meeting that shared the latest developments in the treatment of the disease. Most importantly these meetings gave all who attended a voice.
Chuck traveled annually to Washington, D.C., to lobby for legislature changes and funding for Parkinson’s research.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that a donation be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association in Chuck’s memory. This can be done through the following website: apdaparkinson.org

Chuck is survived by his loving wife, Krispin Ann DeBlieux; daughter, Jordan Lynn Castrogiovanni (husband Giacomo); son, Charles ‘Scooter’ Edward DeBlieux IV; grandchildren, Kaegan Renee DeBlieux, and Giacomo ‘Jack’ Calcedonio Castrogiovanni II; sisters, Nicky Steel (husband Donald), Boo Bordes (husband Barry), Laura Pick (husband Barry – deceased); brothers Pip DeBlieux (wife Kristi), Jeremy DeBlieux (wife Connie), Deek DeBllieux (wife Leisa), Peter DeBlieux (wife Karen); nieces, Emma Rourke, Joanne Partridge, Meaghan Faherty, Jackie DeBlieux, Nikki DeBlieux, Ashley Ajubita, and Amanda Ajubita; nephews, Peter Steel, Colin Faherty (deceased), Duncan Faherty, Turner DeBlieux, Joshua DeBlieux, Zachary DeBlieux, and Justin Ajubita.

Chuck is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Doris DeBlieux II; and by his stepmother, Margaret Frazer DeBlieux.
