HAMMOND, LA - March 13, 2019 - Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards reports the following arrest:

On March 7, 2019, the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division and the Hammond Police Department's Narcotic Division executed a narcotics-related search on a residence located on Happywoods Road in Hammond, LA. The search warrant followed numerous controlled purchases of suspected crack cocaine by Hammond Police Department.

As a result of the search warrant, agents seized 144 prescription assorted pills, 7 grams of marijuana, 8 grams of heroin, and 2 grams of methamphetamine.

Subsequently, 41-year-old Alvin Cyprian of Hammond, and 34 -year-old Rachel Giovingo of Hammond, were taken into custody and charged with numerous narcotics related offenses. Cyprian was also charged with two counts of distribution of Cocaine base “CRACK” by Hammond Police Department. 32-year-old Jammie Porter of Hammond, was issued a summons for simple possession of marijuana.
