PPD identifies person-of-interest in Thursday night shooting

From Ponchatoula Police:
PONCHATOULA- Chief Bry Layrisson reports that one person was shot resulting from an incident that occurred on March 14, 2019, around 10 p.m., on Saxon Street.

Officers responded to an address on Saxon Street after receiving a call of a shooting with one possible gunshot victim. Upon arrival to the scene, the victim was located and the Ponchatoula Volunteer Fire Department provided medical assistance. The victim was then transported to North Oaks Medical Center by Acadian, taken into surgery, and is in stable condition.

While officers secured the crime scene, they located evidence that may confirm that the suspect of interest was at the residence.

The suspect of interest is Bernard Tillman IV, age 22. He is also wanted by the Hammond Police Department for a felony warrant.
