The 2019 USA Softball Championship season has concluded with the 16u & 18u USA Softball Gold National Championship Finals, which was held in Plano, TX, July 29th-August 3rd.

With 12 states represented in one of the most prestigious tournaments in youth softball, the Louisiana VooDoo finished 3rd overall in the 16u division. Battling their way through the bracket, the VooDoo outscored their opponents 31-17 as they reached the winner’s bracket finals where they fell 3-2 to the eventual champion Tulsa Elite-OKC. In the semi-finals the VooDoo fell to a tough Wichita Mustangs team 7-3, to finish in 3rd. The 3rdplace finish is the highest 16u Gold Nationals finish in USA Softball of Louisiana history.
