AMITE – Tangipahoa Parish’s Republican Parish Executive Committee met in the courthouse to fill vacancies and elect officers for the terms ending in 2016.
    The new officers are Joel Morgan, chair; Caroline Ory Thompson, vice chair; Eric Pipes, secretary; JohnK Wright IV, treasurer; and David Ramsey, representative to the Tangipahoa Parish Board of Election Supervisors.  
    At Large members are Farida Baig, Loretta Ruffino Borde, Tyler Baker, Eric Pipes, and David Ramsey.
    Members in Parish Council districts are as follows: District 1, Gayle Liuzza; 2, JohnK Wright IV; 3, John Fulda; 4, James Dennis Phillips; 5, Ava Ledford Debus; 6, Luis Alvarez; 7 Caroline Ory Thompson; 8, Joel Morgan; 9, Lithia R. Allen; and 10, Karen Gallaher Bell.
    The Committee commissioned Eric Pipes to develop a web site and passed a resolution to Tangipahoa Parish legislators urging them to obviate cuts to the budget of Southeastern Louisiana University.
