Press Release from the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office:

On August 18, 2019, deputies with the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to an apartment complex located along Highway 16 in Denham Springs in reference to a stabbing.

SUSPECT:
Jonathan ‘Johnny’ Jarreau
DOB: 3/25/89
Denham Springs

CHARGES:
>Aggravated Second Degree Battery
>Violation of Protective Order

Sheriff Jason Ard says, ‘Around 3:30p, the male victim reported to us that he had been stabbed & identified his attacker. Detectives learned the physical assault happened after the suspect - identified as Jonathan ‘Johnny’ Jarreau - was asked to leave. It was learned he was asked to leave because of an active protective order in place. During the fight, the victim was stabbed in the abdomen with a knife. Jarreau then fled. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. He is listed in critical condition.’

This investigation is ongoing.
