GARY T. STANGA
Announces Candidacy for Re-election,
As your TANGIPAHOA PARISH CLERK OF COURT

I am Gary T. Stanga, your Tangipahoa Parish Clerk of Court and I am very excited to announce my candidacy for re-election as your Clerk of Court for Tangipahoa Parish in the October 12th Primary Election. It has been an honor to serve as your Clerk of Court and I am committed to continuing to ensure that the Clerk’s office always provides excellent customer service to the people of Tangipahoa Parish.

I am a lifelong resident of Tangipahoa Parish and a Ponchatoula native, having grown up in Bedico, where my family and I attend Bedico Baptist Church. I graduated from Ponchatoula High School in 1970, and later married my high school sweetheart, Jean Ridgdell Stanga, and we will be married for 47 years, this year. We have one son, Matthew Stanga, who is married to Melissa Doty Stanga, and two beautiful granddaughters, Halle and Mila Kate.

I have been employed with the Clerk’s office since July 01, 2004, where I served as Chief Deputy for the late Clerk, my friend, Julian Dufreche. In 2017, I was elected to fulfill the remainder of Mr. Dufreche’s term in office. During my fourteen (14) year tenure in the Clerk’s office, I have been responsible for the daily business operations of the Clerk of Court’s office. I handle the overall supervision of administration, personnel, purchasing and fiscal stability of the office. I am also responsible for the workflow of all departments within the Clerk’s office, as well as setting policies and procedures.

Prior to joining the Clerk of Court’s office, I worked in the private sector for more than thirty (30) years, in management and labor relations. In addition to my work in the private sector, I served as a local representative on the Ponchatoula City Council for twenty (20) years, including multiple terms as the city’s mayor pro-tem. My unique cross-training in the private sector and in government is extremely beneficial to the business operations of the Tangipahoa Parish Clerk’s Office.
Being your Clerk of Court has afforded me the opportunity to meet the many wonderful people of Tangipahoa Parish. I have been able to assist many of those in our parish, as well as welcoming their comments and suggestions. My door is always open!

Early voting for the October 12th Primary is September 28th – October 05th, 2019. I would greatly appreciate your support.
Please vote Gary T. Stanga, for Tangipahoa Parish Clerk of Court!
