From the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office:

PONCHATOULA---Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edward reports the following:

On January 4, 2018, the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office began investigating a series of ongoing stalking complainants that occurred over the four months.

For the past several months, the suspect Alva Vance, III, of Ponchatoula, posted repeatedly on socially media about his ongoing divorce in very descriptive language. The victim explained the social media post has resulted in her being terrified, requiring her to go into hiding.

On February 26, 2018, warrants were obtained on 74-year- old Alva Vance III, for seven counts of cyberstalking. Vance was taken into custody at the Twenty First District Court. Vance was in court on a previous arrest for violating a court order.
