Lamz withdraws from 2020 DA's race
Statement from Judge Jim Lamz (Via Facebook):
I have decided to withdraw my candidacy for 22nd JDC District Attorney. I still support a change of leadership in this office and will continue to advocate for stronger and more effective prosecution of violent and dangerous criminals.
In light of the world wide pandemic, the quarantine and the shutting down of the economy, I will not burden my friends and supporters with requests for financial contributions for a political campaign at this time. All cash contributions previously made to my campaign are being returned in full.
Thank you to my many friends and supporters who willingly and eagerly supported my campaign from the moment I decided a change was needed in this position.
Although voting and elections may be the farthest thing from your mind at this time, now, more than ever, I encourage you all to exercise your right to vote to achieve the changes needed in our community. Every election is determined only by the people who show up and vote. Please be in that number.
