From Hammond Police:
June 3, 2019, City of Hammond – On June 2, 2019, at approximately 1:50 am, the Hammond Police Department responded to a 911 emergency call of a female victim being stabbed on South Scanlan Street.

Responding officers quickly arrived and located the victim, Ceirra Miller, 30 years old of Hammond, with what appeared to be stab wounds to the neck and head area. With the assistance of the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office and the Albany Police Department, the juvenile suspect was taken into custody without incident at his residence in Albany. The juvenile suspect was transported to the Hammond Police Station for processing and was later placed into the Florida Parishess Juvenile Detention Center.
