Hammond Police ask the public to help find thieves

From Hammond Police

Hammond, LA – On April 27, 2020, the Hammond Police Department responded to Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home, located at 2000 North Morrison Boulevard, in regards to an unknown individual removing the catalytic converters from two funeral home vans.

HPD detectives were able to obtain video that showed a tan-colored GMC with damage to the front driver side bumper and with a bike/cargo rack on the rear. The driver of the vehicle entered the parking lot at approximately 5:06 pm, exited the vehicle and removed the catalytic converters. Unfortunately, the driver’s face was obscured by the angle of the camera. It is believed that someone was in the front passenger seat.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact Detective Ronney Domiano, with the Hammond Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division, at 985-277-5739, by the Hammond Police Department’s Facebook Page, by email at [email protected] or by contacting Crime Stoppers of Tangipahoa’s anonymous tip line at 1-800-554-5245. Be part of the solution and you may be eligible for a cash reward.
