Bretton named Deputy of the Quarter for St. Tammany
From STPSO Sheriff Randy Smith:
Sheriff Randy Smith recently recognized Corporal Lindsey Bretton as Deputy of the Quarter for the Support Division.

During the summer, two of the Civil Department’s six administrative deputies were out of the office on extended medical leave. Cpl. Bretton, along with three deputies under her supervision were tasked with completing the job duties of six people without missing any of the Civil Department’s internal deadlines.

Cpl. Bretton is a relatively new supervisor, having been promoted in April of 2017.

While all of the deputies demonstrated persistence, dedication and a strong work ethic, Cpl. Bretton went above and beyond, ensuring that the work was completed in a timely manner. This required her to take on a significant amount of extra work and adjust her schedule to work additional hours when necessary.

During this time, she demonstrated the ability to keep everyone calm and in good spirits.

In addition to keeping up with the additional workload, Cpl. Bretton also took over as the primary point of contact with a vendor to test a new software program for the Civil Department. She has spearheaded this project for several months and has done an excellent job.

Please join us in thanking Cpl. Bretton for her service to the agency and to the citizens of St. Tammany Parish.
