Hurst joins Brett K. Duncan & Co. in Hammond
Brooklee Hurst is now an Associate Attorney at Brett K. Duncan & Co. law firm in Hammond.
Hurst grew up in Greensburg, Louisiana in St. Helena Parish, and attended school at Oak Forest Academy in Amite, Louisiana. After high school, she attended Southeastern Louisiana University, where she was a member of the National Society for Collegiate Scholars, Gamma Beta Phi honor society, and the ExCel Leadership Organization. During her years at Southeastern, Hurst also taught dance at Covington Dance Company in Amite, Louisiana.
Hurst graduated magna cum laude from Southeastern in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in History. She received a Juris Doctorate and Graduate Diploma in Comparative Law from Louisiana State University’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 2018. While in law school, she was Articles Editor for the Law Center’s monthly newsletter, The Civilian, as well as participating in several other on-campus clubs and organizations.
Hurst was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar in October 2018. Prior to joining Brett K. Duncan & Associates, she spent a year as a law clerk to the Honorable Judge Blair Edwards of the 21st Judicial District Court, Juvenile Division.
