HAMMOND---Local author Ann Marie Jameson will kick off the release of her latest book, “Petite Rose” with a signing party on Saturday at Hammond Square.

The third in Jameson’s “Willow Rose” series, “Petite Rose” focuses on Mary and her sisters, who “anxiously come together to read the long-lost love letters their father Jack wrote to Maggie, their mother, while he was stationed in Korea” 60 years ago.

Jameson’s latest book unravels a “deep dark secret” the parents had hidden from the sisters their entire lives, and “to make matters worse, the letters only divulge half the secret.”

The book follows the sisters as they “set to find out by any means necessary” the answers to the secret, which leads them to their mother’s childhood home at Petite Rose. There they will reach out to their mother’s twin sister Tess, who they believe knows all the answers to their questions.

Published by Wings Press, Inc., Petite Rose is the third novel published by Jameson, a lifelong Louisiana resident. She is also the author of a children’s book, “Why Did I Have to Be Born Last?” Her unique writing style is “direct and down to earth, yet heartwarming and inspirational at the same time.”

The book signing will be held at Books-A-Million at Hammond Square from noon until 4 p.m. Saturday. The public is invited to come out and meet the author and pick up copies of the author’s latest book.
