DOTD plans road work in Tangi, St. Tammany this week

Construction crews with Louisiana DOTD will be working on the following roads across our region during the week of Aug. 12:

DENHAM SPRINGS:
LA 16 Lane Closures for Fairlane Drive to LA 64
The following intermittent lane closures will take place on LA 16, North of Denham Springs, from Fairlane Drive to LA 64.

On Wednesday, August 14, 2019 through Thursday, August 15, 2019 8:00 pm - 6:00 am, nightly (weather permitting). At least one lane will remain open at all times. These lane closure are necessary to allow crews to do work on the roadway.
On Friday, August 16, 2019 through Saturday, August 17, from 8:00 pm - 9:00 am, nightly (weather permitting). At least one lane will remain open at all times. These lane closure are necessary to allow crews to do work on the roadway.
Motorists wanting to avoid this construction zone should see the detours mentioned below:
Northbound motorists may take US 190 East to LA 1027 North to LA 1026 West to LA 16.
Southbound motorists may take LA 1026 East to LA 1027 South to US 190 West to LA 16.

KENTWOOD:
LA 38: US 51 to LA 1054
On Tuesday, August 13, 2019, there will be alternating single lane closures both Eastbound and Westbound of LA 38 at a point located 0.11 miles east of US 51 and 3.7 miles west of LA 1054, (weather permitting) while crews perform roadway repairs.
One lane will remain open at all times. There will be no vehicle restrictions, and emergency vehicles will have access. Motorists may encounter a slight delay during this time.

DETOUR INFORMATION:
Motorists may use the following routes to avoid the construction zone.

Motorists traveling LA 38 east may take US 51 north to LA 1054, then east to re-intersect with LA 38.
Motorists traveling LA 38 west may take LA 1054 west to US 51, then south to re-intersect with LA 38.


LORANGER:
LA 442 Lane Closure/Tangipahoa River Bridge Replacement
The LA 442 Tangipahoa River Bridge, located 3.5 miles East of US 51 and 2.5 miles West of LA 443, will have alternating lane closures starting Monday, August 12, 2019 at 7:00am through Friday, August 16, 2019 7:00pm (weather permitting)for asphalt repairs and striping operations.

One lane will remain open at all times

PERMIT INFORMATION:
No oversized loads greater than 12’ wide will be allowed through the construction zone.

Detour Information:
Eastbound motorists may take LA 1065 South to LA 1064, then East on LA 1064 to LA 443, then North to re-intersect with LA 442.
Westbound motorists may take LA 443 South to LA 1064, then west on LA 1064 to LA 1065, then North to re-intersect with LA 442.


MANDEVILLE:
LA 22 between US 190 and Dalwill Drive
On Tuesday, August 13, 2019, there will be a significant traffic switch along LA 22 in Mandeville. The traffic signals and roadway striping between US 190 and Dalwill Drive will be re-configured, with Eastbound traffic shifting to the new roadway, and complete closure of the center turn lane. The Contractor shall work between 8:00 PM, Monday, August 12, 2019 and 5:00 AM, Tuesday, August 13, 2019 in order to place this traffic shift in effect. During this time, motorists will still have access to business driveways on W. Frontage Road and Dalwill Drive. This changed configuration is needed in order to accommodate the next phase of this project.

There will be no vehicle restrictions, and emergency vehicles will have access.


I-12 at LA 59 to I-12 at LA 434
On Tuesday, August 13, 2019, there will be a significant traffic switch along LA 22 in Mandeville. SATSUMA:
I-12 Livingston Parish Lane Closure
The following closures will take place on I-12 near the Satsuma Exit. Motorists wanting to avoid this construction zone should see the detours mentioned below.

• I-12 Westbound On/Off Ramps at Exit #19 (Satsuma Interchange) will be closed intermittenly from Monday, August 12, 2019 through Friday, August 16, 2019, from 8:00 pm to 5:30 am, nightly (weather permitting). These closures will allow crews to switch traffic on I-12 to the new travel lanes.

• I-12 Westbound (from 1 mile west of the Satsuma Exit to 1/2 mile east of the exit) will have lane closures from Monday, August 12, 2019 through Friday, August 16, 2019, from 8:00 pm to 5:30 am, nightly (weather permitting). At least one lane will be open at all times. This closure will allow crews to lay asphalt on the roadway.

Detours for I-12 On/Off Ramp traffic at the Satsuma Exit:
Westbound I-12 motorists wanting to exit at Satsuma may take LA 63 North to US 190 West to South Satsuma Road.

Westbound I-12 motorists wanting to enter I-12 at Satsuma may take South Satsuma North to US 190 West to LA 447 South back to I-12 West.

Detours for I-12 through traffic:
Westbound I-12 motorists may take LA 63 North to US 190 West to LA 447 South back to I-12.

Eastbound I-12 motorists may take LA 447 North to US 190 East to LA 63 South back to I-12.
