Deputies and parish employees pick up litter

From the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office

Members of the STPSO Operations Division joined parish employees today to clean up a sandy area on the Bogue Falaya River located under the Boston Street bridge and Claiborne Hill Overpass.

Many residents have been frequenting the area this summer to cool off in the river and unfortunately many have been leaving behind their trash and other debris.

Sheriff Randy Smith urges all residents to pick up their litter and clean up after themselves. We in St. Tammany are blessed to have so many wonderful and beautiful waterways to enjoy; please don't ruin them by littering.
