Denham Springs woman charged in deadly hit-and-run

Press Release from Denham Springs Police:

Today at approximately 3 PM Patricia Street 28, of Denham Springs, turned herself in on one charge of Felony Hit and Run.

The hit and run resulted in the death of Denham Springs resident Arthur Lang, 44.

Officers were notified by sources that a 2014 Ford Focus, with heavy frontal damage was parked at the Denham Springs Walmart. The vehicle lead officers to the identity of Street, who later turned herself in. Street told officers that she knew that she had hit something, but was unaware that it was a person. DNA and blood samples were obtained from Street during booking and she was subsequently transferred to the Livingston Parish Detention Center.
