The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian.
Shortly before 6 p.m. Saturday (May 30), deputies were dispatched to a hit-and-run incident that occurred on Falconer Boulevard at the entrance to the Emerald Forest Apartments near Covington.
Witnesses told deputies a small silver sedan struck a white male, before fleeing the scene. Emergency medical personnel transported the victim to an area hospital, where he remains. His condition is unknown at this time.
Video footage obtained by the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office shows what appears to be a Toyota Corolla coming out of apartment complex and striking the pedestrian who was walking on Falconer Drive.
