In response to multiple inquires, Sheriff Edwards can confirm the arrest of ARDEN WELLS of Ponchatoula, La by the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office.
On Monday Wells surrendered himself to agents with the the AG’s office on charges of UNAUTHORIZED ENTRY OF A BUSINESS and booked into the Tangipahoa Parish Jail.
Due to safety and security concerns Wells was transferred to another facility for housing within 55 minutes of arriving at the TPSO Jail.

Arden Wells, 64 of Ponchatoula, was arrested for violating LA R.S. 14:62.4 (Unauthorized Entry of a Place of Business) as a result of an investigation by the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation.
LBI special agents received a complaint from the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office of an unauthorized entry into a closed and secured Tangipahoa Parish Public Works Facility.
Mr. Wells allegedly entered the secure yard of this parish facility by pulling himself through a gap in the chain-link security fence surrounding the property after the facility had closed for the day and the gate had been locked.
An arrest warrant was issued for Mr. Wells based on security footage from the Tangipahoa Parish Public Works Facility and other evidence collected during the LBI investigation.
