Heroin, domestic abuse, burglary and more in Amite court


Amite- District Attorney Scott M. Perrilloux reports that the following individuals appeared in court April 30, 2019, before Judge Jeffery Johnson and pleaded either guilty or no contest or were found guilty of the following crimes and received the following sentences:

Chasity Blanchard, age 26, of Independence, LA, pleaded no contest to possession of schedule II controlled dangerous substances. She was sentenced to two years with the department of corrections. She received credit for time served.

Anthony Holliday, age 34, of Ponchatoula, LA, pleaded no contest to illegal possession of stolen things $1,000.00-$5,000.00 and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was sentenced to five years with the department of corrections. He received credit for time served.

Freddie Kinsey Jr., age 41, of Hammond, LA, pleaded no contest to two counts of distribution of schedule II controlled dangerous substances. He was sentenced to 10 years with the department of corrections. The sentence was suspended and he was placed on probation for three years. He is ordered to pay a $750.00 fine along with court costs.

Jodie Lout, age 61, of Ponchatoula, LA, pleaded no contest to fourth offense driving while intoxicated. He was sentenced to 10 years with the department of corrections. He received credit for time served.

Dillon Majesty, age 25, of Independence, LA, was sentenced to 20 years with the department of corrections for vehicular homicide and vehicular negligent injuring. He received credit for time served.

Christopher McKinney, age 34, of Loranger, LA, pleaded no contest to distribution of schedule I controlled dangerous substances. He was sentenced to five years with the department of corrections. He received credit for time served.

Fredrick Murray, age 63, of Hammond, LA, was sentenced to 65 years with the department of corrections for possession of pornography involving juveniles. He received credit for time served.

Rachael Richardson, age 29, of Ponchatoula, LA, pleaded no contest to distribution or possession with intent to distribute heroin or fentanyl and distribution or possession with intent to distribute schedule I controlled dangerous substances. She was sentenced to four years with the department of corrections. The sentence was suspended and she was placed on probation for three years. She is ordered to pay a $750.00 fine along with court costs.

Laterrance White, age 38, of Hammond, LA, pleaded no contest to possession of schedule II controlled dangerous substances. He was sentenced to 18 months with the department of corrections. He received credit for time served.

Gregory Wright, age 60, of Hammond, LA, pleaded no contest to three counts of distribution or possession with intent to distribute schedule II controlled dangerous substances, possession with intent to distribute schedule I controlled dangerous substances, and possession with intent to distribute schedule IV controlled dangerous substances. He was sentenced to three years with the department of corrections for each count. Time is to be served concurrently.

Amite- District Attorney Scott M. Perrilloux reports that the following individuals appeared in court May 1, 2019, before Judge Douglas Hughes and pleaded either guilty or no contest or were found guilty of the following crimes and received the following sentences:

Demar Brown, age 31, of Hammond, LA, pleaded no contest to fourth offense driving while intoxicated. Sentencing is scheduled for June 10, 2019.

Johnny Prine, age 37, of Independence, LA, pleaded no contest to simple battery- domestic and domestic abuse battery-first offense-pregnant victim. He received credit for time served.

Devonte Skinner, age 27, of Albany, LA, pleaded no contest to distribution/possession with intent to distribute schedule I controlled dangerous substances, possession with intent to distribute schedule I controlled dangerous substances, possession with intent to distribute schedule IV controlled dangerous substances, distribution/possession with intent to distribute schedule II controlled dangerous substances, possession of schedule IV controlled dangerous substances, and possession of schedule II controlled dangerous substances. He was sentenced to six years with the department of corrections. He received credit for time served.

Dyestiny Washington, age 28, of Hammond, LA, pleaded no contest to simple burglary. She was sentenced to three years with the department of corrections. The sentence was suspended and she was placed on probation for three years.
