Former deputy indicted for theft of taser, malfeasance
From District Attorney Warren Montgomery:
COVINGTON—District Attorney Warren Montgomery reports that a St. Tammany Parish grand jury indicted Nathan Stokes, a former deputy for the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office, 39, of Covington, on charges of malfeasance and theft under $750.

Stokes is accused of stealing a Taser from the Sheriff’s Office and reselling it.

Assistant District Attorney Jay Adair presented the case to the grand jury.
