Deputies seek suspect in Mandeville-area vehicle burglaries
From the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office

St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying the individual or individuals responsible for at least three vehicle burglaries that occurred in the Mandeville area Monday.
Two vehicles were burglarized Monday morning at approximately 6:30 am. while parked outside of Pelican Athletic Club.

Both vehicles sustained a damaged window, and purses were removed from both vehicles.

Ten minutes after those burglaries, a woman reported that her purse was taken out of her unlocked vehicle while she was bringing her child into Primary Colors Daycare.

A school-age child was in the backseat of the vehicle at the time and told detectives a light skinned black male entered his mother’s vehicle, stated, “Hello,” took her purse, and left.

Video surveillance footage at both locations showed what appeared to be the same vehicle, a newer model black Jeep Grand Cherokee, and the same suspect.
