From the State Fire Marshal's Office:
LIVINGSTON PARISH (April 24, 2019)- The State Fire Marshal’s Office has arrested a Denham Springs woman for setting fire to her ex-boyfriend’s home following her eviction.

Casey Williams, 31, was booked into the Livingston Parish Jail on April 23 on one count of Simple Arson.

In the evening hours of April 12, Livingston Parish Fire Protection District 4 was called to a house fire in the 21000 block of Carew Harris Road in Denham Springs.

Investigators learned Williams was the sole occupant of the home at the time of the fire, but neighbors had to alert her to the fire and get her out of the structure.

Following an assessment of the scene, collecting witness interviews and conducting extensive investigative efforts, the fire was determined to have been intentionally set by Williams.

She was then placed under arrest.
