Planning is underway for the first Ballin’ 4 OPTIONS Charity Basketball Game which is planned for Saturday, September 23, at Chappapeela Sports Park in Hammond.

The event, which is sponsored by Spoga Fitness, will feature 2 teams of OPTIONS participants and community members battling it out on the court to be named Ballin’ 4 OPTIONS champions.

“We are thrilled to be able to partner with OPTIONS to host this fun, family event,” shared Jeff Day, event chairperson and owner of Spoga Fitness. “At Spoga, we believe that wellness is for everyone and that is what this event is about—promoting wellness in a fun, exciting way.”

Day went on to say, “As a long-time enrichment partner with OPTIONS, I get to see first-hand the difference fitness can make in the lives of people with disabilities. They build strength and self-confidence which has a positive impact on all aspects of their lives. We are looking forward to providing that opportunity to even more OPTIONS participants through this event.”

Spoga recently held tryouts for participants who were interested in playing. Community members are invited to participate as players, coaches and cheerleaders. Those interested in supporting the event are asked to call Spoga Fitness at 985-345-2453 for more information.
Individuals or businesses interested in sponsoring the event can contact OPTIONS Marketing Manager Jenni O’Neil at 985.345.6269 ext 140 or by email at
