A special Mother, Sister, Grandmother and Friend went to meet the Lord.
Carol Elaine Howze Sibley a resident of Holden died January 8, 2017 at North Oaks Hospital in Hammond, Louisiana. Carol was born on April 10, 1939, in Holden to G. C. Howze, Jr. and Juanita Mack Howze.
Carol is survived by daughters, June Ivy, Judy Hughes, Stephanie Efferson and husband Malcolm, Tara Sibley and friend Jeromy Womack; sons, Farron Sibley and wife Danette, Farrell “Charlie” Sibley and wife Lelia, Carlton “Wayne” Sibley and wife Wanda, Jesse Sibley, and Shannon Sibley; sisters, Marie Foster and husband Cloyed, Catherine Raborn; Sister in Law, Fay Howze; Brother in law, Ray Sibley and wife Gail. She is also survived by 31 Grandchildren, numerous Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by parents, Grover Cleveland Howze, Jr. and Ouida Juanita Mack Howze; husband, Eldon Newton Sibley; sister, Thelma Massie; infant sister, Dorothy Raye Howze; brother Carlton “Buck” Howze; grandson, Eddie Ivy, Jr.; Sister in laws, Mary Hall and Anna Lanier; Brother in laws, J. L. Sibley and J.C. Sibley.
Carol is a member of Magnolia Baptist Church, Holden, Louisiana. Brother Berkley Boyd will conduct the services and burial will be at Stafford Cemetery Number 1, Holden, Louisiana.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2017, and from 9:00 a.m. till 12:00 noon for services on Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at Brandon Thompson Funeral Home, Baptist. Louisiana.
