***Son Arrested for Aggravated Battery Following Fight with His Father***

St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s detectives are investigating an aggravated battery that occurred between a father and son Saturday night (December 2) in the Lacombe area.

Dispatchers sent STPSO deputies to Lacombe at approximately 9:30 p.m. Saturday evening (December 2) after receiving a 911 call from the residence with no one on the other end of the line.

Responding deputies found a 57-year-old man unconscious inside the home. A family member at the residence told deputies the victim had gotten in a fight with his son, who had since left.

While deputies were still at the scene, the son returned and was taken into custody.

Casey Melerine was arrested and booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail for LRS 14:34.1 Second Degree Aggravated Battery.
