James G. “Jim” Neuner passed away on Monday, October 28, 2013 at the age of 85.

He is survived by Kathie, his wife of 29 years. He is also survived by his brother, Joseph J. Neuner and his wife Luanne of Olathe, KS and three sons from his first marriage, James G. Neuner, Jr. and wife Deborah and their twin daughters, Kelly and Michele of the Woodlands, TX, Kenneth B. Neuner and wife Nori and their daughters Clair and Kendall of Dallas, TX and David B. Neuner and wife Maggie Hays of Portland, OR.

Mr. Neuner attended the University of Kansas and Rockhurst University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. He was a member of Sigma Chi Men’s Fraternity. Mr. Neuner was a veteran of the Korean War where he was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge and other medals of recognition. He was the only one in his Regiment chosen to attend Infantry Troop Leadership School. Jim’s favorite sports were golf, fishing and hunting. He was a private pilot with over 900 hours as pilot in command. Mr. Neuner spent his entire business career in the oil and gas industry as an independent producer.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the memorial Mass on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 at 2:00 PM with visitation on Wednesday from 1:00 PM until Mass time.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mr. Neuner to be made to St. Joseph Abbey.
