Traffic stop yields arrest of suspect on drug charges
From Bogalusa Police:
On Tuesday, August 8th at approximately 9:00 PM, Bogalusa Police officers were patrolling in the area of Ave. L when they observed a Nissan Frontier make 2 different turns without using a turn signal. The officers got behind the vehicle and activated their emergency blue lights to initiate a traffic stop. The vehicle failed to stop and a police pursuit
began with additional units from the Bogalusa Police Department and the Washington Parish Sheriff's Department assisting. The vehicle turned into a driveway of a residence located in the 1300 block of W. 9th St and stopped. The driver, identified as Shawn Fox Sr. (41) of Bogalusa got of the vehicle and threw a clear plastic bag on the ground that contained a white powdery substance. The substance in the bag was identified as Methamphetimine.

Fox was arrested and booked on the following charges:

1. Aggravated Flight from an Officer.
2. No Insurance.
3. Possession of Methamphetimine.
4. Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance in a Drug Free Zone.
