Livingston Parish Grand Jury indicts three on murder charges

LIVINGSTON---District Attorney Scott M. Perrilloux reports the following Grand Jury proceedings for March 6, 2018:

A Livingston Parish Grand Jury has issued a True Bill of Indictment on Chad Glascock for one count of second degree murder and one count of obstruction of justice in the death of Brent Pollard. The case has been assigned to Division B, Judge Charlotte Foster.

Allegations are that on December 20, 2017 the defendant strangled the victim to death during an altercation and duct taped his hands and feet and tried to bury him off of Red Oak Road under leaves and pine straw. Deputies began an investigation and discovered the body after family members had reported the victim missing.

Arraignment for Glascock has been scheduled for March 14, 2018.

A Livingston Parish Grand Jury has issued a True Bill of Indictment on James Smith III for one count of second degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in the death of Randy Favron Jr. This case has been assigned to Division F, Judge Elizabeth Wolfe.

Allegations are that on November 12, 2017 the defendant and the victim got into a verbal altercation while at the victim’s home. During the altercation the defendant fired the weapon striking the victim twice. The victim died shortly after at a local hospital.

Arraignment for Smith is scheduled for March 21, 2018.

A Livingston Parish Grand Jury has issued a True Bill of Indictment on Daniel Graham for one count of attempted second degree murder. This case is assigned to Division F, Judge Elizabeth Wolfe.

On August 5, 2017, Graham was arrested by Livingston Parish deputies following a shooting that struck the victim in the face and abdomen.

Arraignment for Graham is scheduled for April 18, 2018.

These cases are unrelated.
