Jazz on the Plaza concludes Sept. 30 at the Amite library
AMITE---Tangipahoa Parish Library invites the public to Amite Branch Library’s Jazz on the Plaza series featuring the Reggie Sanders Trio.

Jazz on the Plaza is scheduled Sept. 30, at 11 AM at the Amite Library, 204 NE Central Avenue, Amite, LA 70422.

Formerly on the second floor, this year’s programs will be located on the plaza area in front of the building. Light refreshments and iced coffee, compliments of Community Coffee, will be provided.

“Because of the popularity of the event, we have decided to move the program to the large plaza area in front of our building,” said Barry Bradford, Library Director. “We are excited to have Reggie and his trio back to offer a jazz concert in an accommodating space.”

Reggie Sanders’ Jazz Trio will highlight each instrument detailing its history and famous jazz musicians who have played them. Throughout the three performances, they will be playing instruments such as the upright bass, small jazz percussion, piano, drums, trumpet, trombone, saxophone and more.

All programs are FREE and open to the public, and all ages are welcome. With the uncertainty of the weather, a rain continency plan is in place for all programs.
