Deputies Search for Attempted Bank Robbery Suspect
COVINGTON, LA – On Tuesday, August 31st 2010 at or about 2:50 p.m. a man carrying an attaché case entered the Whitney National Bank on Highway 59 north of Mandeville. Upon entry, he approached a teller and presented a note demanding cash. During the robbery attempt, the suspect fled the bank before obtaining any money and possibly entered a compact red car. He is described as a white male, mid to late 40’s, approximately 5’8” tall, with a heavy build. The suspect was wearing a light blue baseball cap, red polo shirt, and khaki shorts.
