Mrs. Cleo Jackson Travis was born February 17, 1916 and passed away at 4:05 a.m., September 1, 2010 at the St. Helena Parish Hospital, Greensburg. She was 94, a native of Midland, TX and a resident of Greensburg.
She was a lifelong member of Homewood Baptist Church in Alexandria, LA
Mrs. Cleo is survived by a daughter, Mary Travis Moran and husband, Fred, Greensburg; 2 sisters, Janet McInnish, Alexandria and Helen Place, Lake Charles; brother and sister-in-law, Jake and Evelyn Jackson, Rockwood, TN; 2 sister-in-laws, Faye Manual, Alexandria and Margie Zieglar, Lebanon, PA; grandson, John Moran and wife, Wendra, Baton Rouge; great granddaughter, Willa Grace Moran, Baton Rouge; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Preceded in death by husband, Rennie Howard Travis; grandson, Ronald Jeter Moran.
Visitation will be at McKneely & Vaughn Funeral Home, Amite, on Friday, September 3, 2010 from 9:30 a.m. until Celebration of Life Services at 11:30 a.m. with Bro. Jimmy Koonce officiating. Interment in Moran Cemetery, Greensburg, LA
