Robert Alexander Beau, Sr. passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2010.
Beloved husband of Frances Blandi Beau for 54 years. Father of Robert A. Beau, Jr. (Laura), Lilia M. Beau, Tony Beau (Jackie), Edward C. Beau (Rose), Marguerite F. Beau and Marie Beau Tabony (Andre). Son of the late Joseph and Stella Gehbauer Beau. Brother of the late Joseph C. Beau, Jr., Albert Beau, Marguerite Beau Lynch and Shirley Claire Beau. Also survived by 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren
He was retired from IBM Corp. and a member of the Folsom Volunteer Fire Dept., St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
Age 84 years. A native of Braithwaite, LA, a former resident of Arabi, LA and a resident of Folsom, LA for the past 31 years.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433 on Thursday, September 2, 2010 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Visitation on Friday, September 3, 2010 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 11345 St. John’s Church Rd., Folsom, LA 70437 starting at 10:30 AM followed by a funeral mass at 11:30 AM. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, New Orleans.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to Manresa Retreat House, Convent, LA.
