AMITE---On Friday, September 3, 2010, a Tangipahoa Parish Grand Jury returned an indictment for second degree murder against, Eric L. Maurer, age 31 of Springfield, Louisiana, according to District Attorney Scott M. Perrilloux.
Maurer was arrested in Tennessee on August 14, 2010 for the August 13, 2010 stabbing death of Rube Rogers.
Maurer is scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday, September 9, 2010 in the Twenty-First Judicial District Court in Amite.
