LIVINGSTON---District Attorney Scott M. Perrilloux reports that the following individuals appeared in court on August 12, 2010, before Judge Zorraine Waguespack, and either pleaded guilty or no contest or were found guilty of narcotic related offenses and received the following sentences:
Brandi Cain, Baton Rouge, LA, age 30 - Pleaded guilty to possession of Schedule IV narcotics and was sentenced to serve three (3) years in the Department of Corrections. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on active probation for three years and ordered to pay a fine of $150.00 plus court costs.
Desiree Delaune, Denham Springs, LA, age 29 - Pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on bench probation for two years and ordered to pay a fine of $500.00 plus court costs and enroll in and complete drug court program. If defendant successfully completes drug court program, court will suspend payment of fine.
Justin Fourrier, Denham Springs, LA, age 29 - Pleaded guilty to possession or introduction of contraband into a penal institution and was sentenced to serve three (3) years in the Department of Corrections.
Charles Hill, Jr., St. Francisville, LA, age 48 - Pleaded guilty to possession of Schedule II
narcotics and was sentenced to serve five (5) years in the Department of Corrections. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on active probation for three years and ordered to pay a fine of $1,500.00 plus court costs.
Russell Roberts, Satsuma, LA, age 30 - Pleaded guilty to possession of Schedule II narcotics and was sentenced to serve five (5) years in the Department of Corrections. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on active probation for three years and ordered to pay a fine of $500.00 plus court costs.
The following individuals appeared in court and either pleaded guilty or no contest or
were guilty of crimes against persons/property and received the following sentences:
Henry P. Bergeron, Denham Springs, LA, age 39 - Pleaded no contest to pornography involving juveniles and indecent behavior with a juvenile and was sentenced to serve five (5) years in the Department of Corrections on the offense of indecent behavior with a juvenile and two (2) years without benefits in the Department of Corrections on the offense of pornography involving juveniles a with sentences to be served consecutively. Defendant to serve two years and balance of jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on active probation for five years and ordered to register as a sex offender.
Carl Hood, Denham Springs, LA, age 39 - Pleaded guilty to theft over $500.00 and was sentenced to serve five (5) years in the Department of Corrections.
Thomas Penton, Denham Springs, LA, age 25 - Pleaded guilty to theft and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on bench probation for two years and ordered to pay a fine of $250.00 plus court costs.
Gregory Toler, Denham Springs, LA, age 28 - Pleaded guilty to illegal carrying of a weapon and was ordered to forfeit the gun.
