LIVINGSTON---District Attorney Scott M. Perrilloux reports that the following individuals appeared in court on August 10, 2010, before Judge Ernest Drake and either pleaded guilty or no contest or were found guilty of driving while intoxicated and received the following sentences:  

Richard Lee Brown, Denham Springs, LA, age 43 - Pleaded guilty to DWI (3rd offense) and was sentenced to serve five (5) years in the Department of Corrections.  Defendant to serve 45 days and balance of jail sentence to be suspended and the defendant placed on active probation for five years with special conditions that the defendant be placed on electronic monitoring, complete 240 hours of community service work, complete a court-approved drivers improvement program and substance abuse program, attend a victim’s impact panel, participate in AA meetings, seek evaluation/treatment for substance abuse, vehicle to be seized and defendant to pay a fine of $2,000.00 plus court costs.

Katherine Duke, Knoxville, TN, age 46 - Pleaded guilty to DWI (1st offense) and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail.  Imposition of jail sentence was deferred and the defendant was placed on bench probation for two years with special conditions that the defendant complete 32 hours of community service work, complete a court-approved drivers improvement program and substance abuse program, attend a victim’s impact panel, and pay a fine of $400.00 plus court costs.

David Gerald, Denham Springs, LA, age 44 - Pleaded guilty to DWI (2nd offense) and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail.

Brian Hava, Luling, LA, age 48 - Pleaded guilty to DWI (1st offense) and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail.  Imposition of sentence was deferred and the defendant was placed on bench probation for two years with special conditions that the defendant complete 32 hours of community service work, complete a court-approved drivers improvement program and substance abuse program, attend a victim’s impact panel, and pay a fine of $350.00 plus court costs.

Casey James Meche, Denham Springs, LA, age 19 - Pleaded no contest to DWI (controlled dangerous substance) and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail.  Imposition of sentence was deferred and the defendant was placed on bench probation for two years with special conditions that the defendant complete 32 hours of community service work, complete a court-approved drivers improvement program and substance abuse program, attend a victim’s impact panel, and pay a fine of $500.00 plus court costs.

Noah Adam Valin, Port Vincent, LA, age 26 - Pleaded guilty to DWI (1st offense) and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail.  Imposition of sentence was deferred and the defendant was placed on bench probation for two years with special conditions that the defendant complete 32 hours of community service work, complete a court-approved drivers improvement program and substance abuse program, attend a victim’s impact panel, install ignition interlock device on vehicle and pay a fine of $875.00 plus court costs.

were found guilty of crimes against persons/property and received the following sentences:

Jason R. Lamartiniere, Prairieville, LA, age 24 - Pleaded guilty to possession of Schedule I narcotics and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail.  Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on bench probation for two years and ordered to pay a fine of $300.00 plus court costs.

Beau R. Merritt, French Settlement, LA, age 30 - Pleaded guilty to possession of Schedule I narcotics and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail.  Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on bench probation for two years and was ordered to pay a fine of $300.00 plus court costs.

Joshua Rabalais, Denham Springs, LA, age 26 - Pleaded guilty to possession of Schedule I narcotics and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail.  Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on bench probation for two years and ordered to pay a fine of $300.00 plus court costs.

Shoal Wilkinson, Holden, LA, age 19 - Pleaded guilty to possession of Schedule I narcotics and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail.  Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on bench probation for two years and was ordered to pay a fine of $300.00 plus court costs.
