AMITE---District Attorney Scott M. Perrilloux reports that the following individuals appeared in court on August 9, 2010, before Judge Zorraine Waguespack, and either pleaded guilty or no contest or were found guilty of driving while intoxicated and received the following sentences:
Wayne Adams, Jr., Holden, LA, age 48 -Pleaded guilty to DWI (1st offense) and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on bench probation for two years with special conditions that the defendant complete 32 hours of community service work, complete a court-approved drivers improvement program and substance abuse program, attend a victim’s impact panel, and pay a fine of $615.00 plus court costs.
William Alford, Kentwood, LA, age 21 - Pleaded guilty to DWI (1st offense) and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on bench probation for two years with special conditions that the defendant complete 32 hours of community service work, complete a court-approved drivers improvement program and substance abuse program, attend a victim’s impact panel, and pay a fine of $615.00 plus court costs.
Brice Bickford, Ponchatoula, LA, age 26 - Pleaded guilty to DWI (1st offense) and pleaded no contest to illegal possession of stolen things and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail on each offense with sentences to be served concurrently.
