AMITE---District Attorney Scott M. Perrilloux reports that the following individuals appeared in court on August 2, 2010, before Judge Elizabeth Wolfe, and either pleaded guilty or no contest or were found guilty of driving while intoxicated and received the following sentences:
Curtis Cook, Independence, LA, age 46 - Pleaded no contest to DWI (1st offense) and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on bench probation for one year with special conditions that the defendant complete 32 hours of community service work, complete a court-approved drivers improvement program and substance abuse program, attend a victim’s impact panel, and pay a fine of $615.00.
Kathryn Denney, Hammond, LA, age 18 - Pleaded no contest to DWI (1st offense) and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on bench probation for one year with special conditions that the defendant complete a court-approved drivers improvement program and substance abuse program, attend a victim’s impact panel, and pay a fine of $715.00.
Taboris Fair, Hammond, LA, age 24 - Pleaded no contest to DWI (1st offense) and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on bench probation for one year with special conditions that the defendant complete 32 hours of community service work, complete a court-approved drivers improvement program and substance abuse program, attend a victim’s impact panel, and pay a fine of $715.00.
Maxwell Kimmons, Tickfaw, LA, age 21 - Pleaded no contest to DWI (underage) and was placed on bench probation for six months and ordered to pay a fine of $250.00 plus court costs.
Jose Morerono, Ponchatoula, LA, age 28 - Pleaded no contest to DWI (1st offense) and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail.
