Walter G. “Bill” Fornea, Jr.

Walter G. “Bill” Fornea, Jr. passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at age 53.

Beloved husband of Carolyn D. Fornea. Loving father of Nathaniel Russ Fornea and Michael J. Bradley Fornea. Son of Kathryn Givens Fornea and Walter G. “Bill” Fornea, Sr. Also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was born in Bogalusa, LA and raised in Waldron, Arkansas. He graduated from LA Tech with an Associate Degree in surveying and a B.S. in Civil Engineering and worked for Burk-Kleinpeter Inc. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting. He viewed life as an adventure and lived life that way. His many hobbies include being a Cub Scout den leader, Boy Scouts of America, coaching little league baseball, woodworking, playing softball, and working with his son on his ’67 Mustang. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.

Relatives and friends are invited to the funeral services at First Baptist Church of Covington, 16333 Hwy 1085, Covington, LA 70433 on Monday, January 30, 2012 at 11:00 AM with visitation on Sunday evening at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and at First Baptist Church of Covington on Monday morning from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.

Interment will follow in Old Fornea Cemetery.
