EVELYN DILLON BATES, AGE 64

And a resident of Franklinton died at 6:50 pm Wednesday January 25, 2012 at Ochsner Northshore Medical Center in Slidell. She was a member of First United Pentecostal Church of Franklinton and enjoyed making crafts. Mrs. Bates was a very loving mother and grandmother who devoted much of her time to her grandchildren.

Survived by:

Daughter and Son in law: Crystal Dykes Alldread and Bennie Alldread of Grenada, MS

Son and Daughter in law: Brian and Brittney Bates of Franklinton

3 Granddaughters: Annsley Alldread, Sierra Alldread, Bryanna Bates

2 Sisters and a Brother in law: Iris and John Odom of Thomas Elois Dillon of Franklinton

Brother and Sister in law: Vincent and Jo Dillon of Thomas

Also numerous nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her parents Broxy Dillon and Tena Farlow Dillon, brothers Paul Dillon and David Dillon, an infant sister Nelda Dillon and infant brother Silas Dillon

Visitation will be at First United Pentecostal Church on Friday, January 27, 2012 from 5 pm until 9 pm and after 10 am on Saturday. A funeral service will be held in the church at 2 pm Saturday with Rev. James Hamilton, Rev. Mike Dillon, and Rev. Leon Hickman officiating. Burial will follow in the Stateline United Pentecostal Church Cemetery.
